It's been a truly terrible month for the Camp Pendleton family. The Department of Defense announced today yet another Marine based at Camp Pendleton has been killed in combat in Helmand province.
Antelope, California native Cpl. Gurpreet Singh, just 21-years-old, died June 22 in Afghanistan. Cpl. Signh was with the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.
Back in April, the website DVIDS (Defense Video and Information Distribution System) posted an article about the Marines of the 1/5, with whom Cpl. Signh was stationed, and the dangers they faced fighting in Helmand province:
