Scripps Park at La Jolla Cove
Scripps Park is an excellent area for picnicking. A public restroom building with showers can be found in Scripps Park beside La Jolla Cove. There is an extensive oceanside walkway in Scripps Park. The consumption of alcohol at Scripps Park is prohibited between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and noon.
Most photographed spot in San Diego according to AAA Magazine, this is a very popular spot for weddings. Permits are issued year round, with a maximum number of 80 September through May and 50 during the summer months of June through August.
From I-5 North:
Take Hwy 52 West to La Jolla Parkway and continue as the street becomes Torrey Pines Road. Turn right on to Prospect then right on to Coast Blvd. The park is located at the bottom of the hill. Street parking only.
From I-5 South:
Exit La Jolla Village Drive, turn right onto La Jolla Village Drive. Go up the hill and turn left onto Torrey Pines Road. Follow Torrey Pines Road as it goes down the hill and curves to the right. Turn right on to Prospect then right on to Coast Blvd. The park is located at the bottom of the hill. Street parking only.
