Participants from around the world take on the one-mile bay swim, 35-mile bike ride, and 10-mile run, while new adaptive sports and community events promote inclusivity and support. 1/2-MILE SWIM, 12.4-MILE BIKE, 3.1-MILE RUN Join us at our signature event – the Aspen Medical Products San Diego Triathlon Challenge to swim, bike, and run.   • Surf Challenge for kids ages 4 - 14 The Ken Whalen Surf Challenge is in memory of Ken's love for family, surfing and the beach. The goal for the event is to encourage kids (including CAF adaptive surfers and Rady Children's Hospital Cancer Families) to strengthen their connection with surfing by competing and having a fun day at the beach with their friends and family. This event is geared towards beginner and intermediate surfers as a way in which to deepen their love for surfing. We focus more on having fun than the actual competition.
