  • Join us for live screen printing, food and performances. Pre-order shirts, hoodies and your meal ticket by reserving a spot today! This is a FREE community event, but you can pre-purchase food tickets, a shirt or a hoodie. All proceeds will benefit Donald Sirypangno's legal defense fund. Your shirt order will be screen printed live with the help of local artist, professor and Cultura y Skate enthusiast Abel Macias. Hoodie orders must be in by February 15! On April 1, meet us at the Pillars of the Community event space for live performances and speakers, and to pick up your shirts/hoodies. Performances by Cypherst8, Sophat and Teerah, and more! Food tickets are good for one plate of tacos, lumpia and noodles. Can't afford a shirt or hoodie, but still want to support? Bring in any dark clothing or garment to be screen printed for a donation of $5. Choose between two designs. White ink only available, so bring a dark colored item! We are continually working to increase accessibility for visitors with disabilities. Please email us for accessibility accommodations.

The GSDSEF will include 338 students with 312 projects from San Diego and Imperial Counties in grades 6-12. Students that present the top projects will be awarded scholarships, educational experiences, cash prizes and be selected to attend additional prestigious fairs. These include Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge for middle school students, The California Science and Engineering Fair in April, and 6 high school students will be given all expense paid trips to attend The Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair held in Dallas, Texas. This is held in May and nearly $6 million in awards will be given out. In the past, $20,000+ dollars of award money has been given out to students, and numerous students have gone on to win top prizes at the state and international fairs. Judging will be held at the BPAC on March 15, 2023, however this will be closed to the public. The awards ceremony will be held at The Observatory North Park on March 16, 2023 at 6pm.
