Former state legislator Joel Anderson has a 238-vote lead Monday in the race for the Second District seat on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors over Poway Mayor Steve Vaus.

Warm weather will persist Monday throughout San Diego County, but temperatures will begin dropping on Tuesday and remain cool and dry through next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Earlier this month, supervisors unanimously voted to oppose any further placements of sexually violent predators until local jurisdictions are able to fully participate in the placement process, including having full veto authority.
