Director of News and Editorial Strategy
Suzanne Marmion leads the station’s editorial vision and local news coverage strategy, for platforms including nightly television news, podcasts, radio and a rapidly growing digital audience. She is a veteran public broadcasting journalist, and has taught investigative and health reporting to journalists in Africa as well as multimedia storytelling at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.
Suzanne has edited for PRI’s The World, covered politics in Sacramento, and has won state and national awards in journalism. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley and has a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Suzanne has lived overseas and covered stories in countries including Egypt, Malawi, India and Congo. She is delighted to call San Diego her home.
