San Diego has a robust and exciting film community. From its Indie roots with “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes” to blockbuster films like “Top Gun 2,” find out what makes San Diego a great place to make your next film. Learn about the resources available and benefits of filming in San Diego, from access to professional local cast and crew to free filming permits.

Hear from experienced local filmmakers about the challenges and triumphs of filming in America’s Finest City. Moderated by Jodi Cilley, founder of Film Consortium San Diego and GIFFSD partner.

Established in 2015, the GI Film Festival San Diego is a multi-day showcase of films for, by, and about military and veteran experiences. Films featured in the festival reveal the struggles, triumphs, and experiences of service members and veterans. The festival also provides veterans and service members with an opportunity to further their creative skills. GI Film Festival San Diego on Facebook / KPBS on Instagram
