GI Film Festival San Diego is a multi-day showcase of films for, by, and about military and veteran experiences. Films featured in the festival reveal the struggles, triumphs, and experiences of service members and veterans. The festival also provides veterans and service members with an opportunity to further their creative skills.

Documentaries, shorts, narratives, and feature-length films are presented. The festival includes local films, which feature San Diego filmmakers, events, people, or places. Post-screening discussions with filmmakers, actors and documentary subjects are also part of the festival.

One Book, One San Diego is our region's premier literary program, presented in partnership between KPBS and over 80 public libraries, service organizations and educational institutions. The purpose is to bring our community closer together through the shared experience of reading and discussing the same book.

Be My Neighbor Day is a free outdoor event for young children and families to celebrate what it means to be a community helper, just like Daniel Tiger! KPBS San Diego Book Festival on the University of San Diego campus is a free event for book lovers of all ages. Attendees will enjoy panel discussions with award-winning authors, activities, live entertainment, exhibitors including local authors and independent booksellers, and more.
