Gypsy Sally is named after a bar in the song "Tecumseh Valley" by Townes Van Zandt. Apart from Van Zandt, the band is influenced by classic blues artists like B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, and Peter Green. Joining Hot Pstromi are two very special guest musicians: Jamie Papish and Amos Hoffman. Papish is renowned for being one of the top Middle Eastern percussionists, and Hoffman is considered one of the best oud players in the world. They will be joined by Gunnar Biggs on contrabass, Fred Benedetti on guitar, Tripp Sprague on reeds, Elizabeth Schwartz on vocals, and Yale Strom on violin.
