The Automobile Club of Southern California says the price of unleaded regular fell in San Diego this week for the fifth consecutive week. But the Auto Club's Marie Montgomery says those prices are already on the way back up.

Montgomery: The prices experienced a net decrease in the past week. However, the last couple of days they have been ticking up. So we might not be seeing a decrease come up to next week. In San Diego, for example, the price was $3.25 a gallon and right now it's $3.27 a gallon, so it's up two pennies in a day.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve unleaded gas in San Diego is 57 cents more than at this time last year. Analysts say that California gasoline prices could climb to 4 dollars a gallon within a few months as a result of the rising price of crude.
