Sports Commentator Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton Analyzes San Diego's Sports Scene

Tom Fudge: The San Diego Padres are in first place – again – for at least a while. Seriously, the team that has long looked like it just didn't have the offensive pop to win definitely has its bats in order. Newcomer Milton Bradley has added a lot of hits to the Padres effort. And yesterday, the team combined for five home runs. Two of them came of Brian Giles. Meanwhile the Chargers look forward to their home opener on Sunday against Chicago, after winning three of their four pre-season contests.

The Padres next game is tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 4) at 6:40 p.m. against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Arizona.
The Chargers season opener is Sunday, Sept. 9 at 1:15 p.m. against the Chicago Bears in San Diego.

The SDSU Aztecs football team's season opener is Saturday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. against Washington State in Washington.
