Councilman Ward Backs Mayor's Response To San Diego's Homelessness Crisis

GUEST:

Chris Ward, District 3 councilman, San Diego

In downtown San Diego, the city's struggle to help its neediest residents is most apparent. Nearly 1,300 people sleep on the street, according to the latest census from the Regional Task Force on the Homeless.

Councilman Chris Ward represents downtown San Diego and the surrounding areas.

Homelessness in the city was the primary subject of San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer's State of the City speech Thursday.

Ward responds to the mayor's plan to address the city's homeless crisis Tuesday on Midday Edition.
