Escondido VFW Commander Named San Diego County Veteran Of The Year

GUESTS:

Matt Foster, San Diego County Veteran Of The Year

Matt Foster was named the San Diego County Veteran Of The Year by the Veterans Museum at Balboa Park at an event on Friday.

The veteran of the year is someone who goes above and beyond in their service after serving in the military. Foster has done just that through his volunteer work. Foster is the commander of VFW 1513 in Escondido and president and chairman of the North San Diego County Standdown.

Foster served 24 years in the Marines and did three tours in Iraq.

Foster joins Midday Edition on Monday to discuss the work he and his fellow veterans do.
