Headlining the first concert of the 2024 San Diego County Fair's Toyota Summer Concert Series is one of the most popular bands of the Pacific Islander reggae scene, Kolohe Kai. Their unique sound infuses Hawaiian ukulele, roots reggae, and hint of R & B and pop, elevating their already distinctive reggae sound to new and popular heights.The band's name: Kolohe means “rascal," which founding member, Roman De Peralta’s family called him as a child. Kai means "ocean" or “saltwater,” right in tune with the band’s love of surfing and the Hawaiian ocean waters.
