Ten mayors were elected last night to cities around San Diego County. Only two incumbents lost their seats to newcomers. In Chula Vista, Cheryll Cox defeated mayor Steve Padilla.

And San Marcos’ long time mayor Corky Smith lost to Jim Desmond.
