Lyn Sherr interviews Kavita Ramdas, president and CEO of Global Fund for Women. As head of the organization, she advocates for and defends women's human rights by making grants to support women's groups around the world.
During Ramdas’ tenure, the organization's assets have almost quadrupled, grantmaking has risen to more than $8 million per year, and the number of countries to which it has made grants has nearly tripled. Ramdas also has overseen the Global Fund’s first endowment campaign and the Now or Never Fund to help ensure women’s participation on critical international issues.
