The play "Honky" is a satire that uses humor to highlight many topics related to race in America today. Join the discussion about these ideas:

Cultural Appropriation & Commercialism

Guilt, Privilege & Race

Stereotypes

PBS and ONSTAGE IN AMERICA present a stage comedy about racism in America that throws political correctness out the window in a free-wheeling send-up of contemporary attitudes. The lighthearted, irreverent satire hits squarely home and still finds reasons for hope. “Honky” by Greg Kalleres was performed at San Diego Repertory Theatre under the direction of Sam Woodhouse.

It received its World Premiere at Urban Stages Theater in New York in 2013 under the artistic direction of Frances Hill.
