Tax filing season is in full swing. But this is not a typical tax season for several reasons. The new tax law is proving confusing for many, which may be part of the reason why 12 percent fewer early returns have been filed so far this year than at the same time in 2018.
And just as things are returning to normal from the last government shutdown, a new shutdown is looming at the end of the week.
Raphael Tulino, IRS spokesman for Southern California and Nevada, joins Midday Edition Tuesday with tips and guidance for filing this year.
