Folk artist Jimmy Lee Sudduth died on Sunday, September 2nd at the age of 97.

His obituary appeared in

The New York Times yesterday. He was living in a nursing home in Fayette, Alabama when he died.

Sudduth lived in Fayette his whole life, and began drawing and painting when he was a young boy.
