Tom Fudge: If the surf ain't up this weekend, you might consider taking in a show by former beach boy Brian Wilson. Actually Wilson never was a surfer, and he stopped writing songs about catching waves quite a while ago. In fact, given the many mental and drug problems he's had since the sixties, he should feel very fortunate to still be making music at all.
