Homeless Vets Get Free Meals, Guidance

Hundreds of homeless veterans enjoyed free meals, shelter and medical treatment today. The 20th annual Stand Down event helps veterans get off the street and apply for housing and jobs. Former Army infantryman Steve Land was homeless when he first attended Stand Down in 2003. Now he rents an apartment and works part-time at a hospital.
