Salvation Army National Commander Discusses Goals for Organization
Maureen Cavanaugh: When you talk about organizations that are on the front lines of helping people caught up in hard times, The Salvation Army is surely high on the list. The charity has been operating in the United States for more than 100 years. And, most of us are familiar with their annual red kettle collection drive every holiday season. The Salvation Army, like most charity organizations, is facing some challenges during this time of recession. And to discuss those issues, I'd like to welcome the Salvation Army's National Commander, Israel Gaither.
