S.D. Woman With Underlying Medical Conditions Dies Of Swine Flu

A 31-year-old woman with underlying medical conditions is the 25th person in San Diego County whose death has been linked to the swine flu pandemic, it was announced today.

There have also been three deaths of non-residents that are not included in the local count, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.

To date, 348 people have been hospitalized locally due to the H1N1 influenza, according to the HHSA.

County health officials again encouraged people to stay away from work or school if they have influenza-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.

Those with underlying medical conditions experiencing influenza-like symptoms should contact their doctor, according to the HHSA.
