Lance Cpl. Jason D. Hill of Poway, California was killed in Afghanistan on June 11, according to the Department of Defense. The DoD reports Hill, just 20-years-old, was based out of Camp Pendleton, and was with the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
According to Hill’s MySpace page, he graduated from Abraxas High School in Poway in 2008. Hill had posted more than a dozen videos on his MySpace page that showcased his love of the Marines. His MySpace name for himself was “Iron Man.”
The Department of Defense also announced today the death on June 12 of 22-year-old Lance Cpl. Sean M. N. O’Connor, who was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force out of Camp Pendleton. He grew up in Douglas, Wyoming. (Read more)
