California Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

Sgt. Brian L. Walker

U.S. Army Sgt. Brian L. Walker, 25, of Lucerne Valley, California was killed on May 13 in Bowri Tana, Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense. He died when insurgents attack his vehicle with an IED, or improvised explosive device.

Also killed in the attack was Pfc. Richard L. McNulty III, 22, Rolla, Missouri.

Both Walker and McNulty were assigned to the 425th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska.
