Amazon is donating 2,000 Kindles to wounded warriors across the country, with 150 of the reading devices going to injured service members and their families in Oceanside.
Representatives from the online retailer will be at the Operation Homefront Village in Oceanside on Thursday morning to hand out the Kindles.
Operation Homefront Village gives injured veterans recently discharged from service a place to live, emotional support, and help with finding employment. The facility in Oceanside serves vets from Balboa Hospital and Camp Pendleton.
Amazon will also be donating Kindles to wounded warriors at Operation Homefront Villages in Gaithersburg, Maryland and San Antonio, Texas.
