Rady Children's Hospital San Diego, in partnership with South Dakota-based Sanford Health, today announced plans to open a pediatric care clinic in Oceanside.
The Sanford Children's World Clinic will be located in a 28,500-square-foot building at the Ocean Terrace Professional Center, 3605 Vista Way, a portion of which was purchased through a $2.5 million philanthropic donation from Pamela and Martin Wygod and the Rose Foundation.
Sanford Health and Rady Children's Hospital will share space in the facility, which is slated to open in spring 2011.
Sanford will open a general pediatric clinic, while Rady Children's Hospital will consolidate nearby specialty clinics into the facility, including primary care, psychiatry, developmental services and a branch of its Chadwick Center for Children and Families.
Additionally, there will be an urgent care and after-hours clinic for children.
According to Dave Link, senior executive vice president of Sanford Health, there are more than 110,000 children within a 10-mile radius of the clinic, and the new facility will "provide them a convenient and comprehensive location for their care."
