I'm doing research for a These Days show on the American workplace and our student assistant, Paul, told me about two sites I should check out. They're so good I had to share.
One allows people to make anonymous confessions , vent, and absolve themselves of poor office conduct. The featured confession of the day:
I super-glued the microwave shut, with a rotten lean cuisine in it, a month before I quit my job. The lunch room smelled of something foul, or dead. Nobody could figure out why the MW wouldn't open. And, of course, like good management, they didn't do a freaking thing about it for 4 months according to an in house "spy".
The other site allows people to submit hilarious, frightening, and absurd exchanges overheard in the office environment , like this little gem submitted by a woman named Cora in Minnesota:
Woman #1: I don't think I can handle a two-hour meeting.
Woman #2: The trick is to doodle in your notebook the whole time; it looks like you're taking notes.
Woman #1: I can design outfits for my cat rodeo!

I love the idea of a place to rant and rave about work but I'm glad this site wasn't up sooner. We'd have no Dooce!
