Now in its fifth year

Once again the Imperial Beach International Film Festival and Art Walk kicks off what seems to be a jam-packed festival season. In the weeks to follow there will be the Temecula Film Festival, El Cajon Film Festival, San Diego Film Festival, San Diego Women's Film Festival, and San Diego Asian Film Festival. Did I forget anyone??? But back to IBIFF. The festival kicks off September 7 and runs through September 9 at multiple locations in Imperial Beach.

Festival founder and driving force Steve Futterman says in a statement on the website: "With all the excitement going on in town our mission remains the same. The I.B. Film Festival is a fundraiser produced by our parent organization the South County Renaissance Project. The funds will help to ensure we can continue contributing to art and education projects for the youth of our region. We remain forever grateful to the sponsors that have supported this event through the years, with a special thanks to the Unified Port of San Diego for allowing us to play a role in the Ports Big Bay initiative helping to promote the bay as a unified destination for both local residents and visitors."
