A television station in New York is identifying the Marine killed in yesterday’s helicopter crash on Camp Pendleton as Sgt. Trevor Cook of Lyndonville, New York. WIVB-TV reports that Cook was the crew chief of the UH-1Y helicopter that crashed near the northern border of the base. According to WIVB-TV, Cook enlisted in the Marines right out of high school, and served for seven years (read more).
