Marine Cpl. Alex F. Domion, 21, died in Afghanistan on October 31 in what the Department of Defense is calling a "non-combat related incident."
The military is investigating the "incident," which took place in Helmand province, although no specifics have been given on the circumstances surrounding Domion's death.
Domion was from Richfield Springs, New York. According to his Facebook page, he attended Richfield Springs Central High School, and enlisted in the Marines in 2009.
He was assigned to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
