Interim Mayor Todd Gloria and the San Diego City Council are facing challenges over recent votes. On Tuesday, the City Council voted to put a maritime industry challenge to the Barrio Logan community plan on the June ballot, and business opponents of the linkage fee increase are now launching a signature gathering drive.
But the City Council and Interim Mayor Gloria are moving forward with more big plans, including a new economic development strategy aimed at boosting San Diego's middle-class.
