Green on blue violence has taken the life of another American service member. A man wearing an Afghan army uniform opened fire Sunday on a group of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, killing at least one, according to The Guardian.

An unnamed Afghan official told the British newspaper that two U.S. soldiers had been hit by the onslaught of bullets:

"A man wearing an Afghan army uniform shot at Americans in Sharana city near the governor's office."

Sharana is the capital of Paktika province, which is situated in eastern Afghanistan.

The Associated Press reports the NATO International Security Assistance Force has opened up an investigation into the shooting.

According to an A.P. tally, at least 15 foreign service members have been killed so far this year in green on blue violence.
