The San Diego Padres went into an unusual rain delay and vehicles began to hydroplane on flooded freeways near La Jolla on Sunday, as heavy rains from the remnants of Hurricane Dolores again hit San Diego County.

The National Weather Service issued a flash-flood advisory for the areas of Escondido, Poway and Santee because of the rain. It was to remain in effect until 6 p.m.
