Bush to Tout AIDS Program

President Bush visits Africa for six days and will highlight one of the initiatives of which he's most proud — his administration's global AIDS initiative. President Bush is traveling to Benin, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana and Liberia.

The president is traveling to Benin, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana and Liberia.

Laurie Garrett, senior fellow for Global Health at the Council on Foreign Relations says that thanks in part to the AIDS initiative, 30 percent of those with AIDS in poor countries are getting treatment, up from 1 to 2 percent before the intiative started 8 years ago.
