  • Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Richard Linklater’s coming of age classic DAZED AND CONFUSED with Good Faith & the Digital Gym Cinema! This screening is in partnership with Focus Features and is part of the 30th Anniversary celebration taking place at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con! #DazedFor30Tagline: This critically acclaimed cult classic, written and directed by Richard Linklater (The School of Rock), follows a group of high schoolers on their last day of class and into one unforgettable night. From bongs to bell bottoms and macrame to mood rings, the ’90s flick authentically captures 1976. With classic rock favorites by Aerosmith, Black Sabbath and KISS and a stacked ensemble cast of up-and-comers (Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Parker Posey and Milla Jovovich), the film has endured the test of time, lauded as “spectacularly funny” by Rolling Stone. Even 30 years later, we’re still L-I-V-I-N for DAZED AND CONFUSED.Critic Quotes: “Once every decade or so, a movie captures the hormone-drenched, fashion- crazed, pop-song-driven rituals of American youth culture with such loving authenticity that it comes to seem a kind of anthem.” – Entertainment WeeklyShowtimes: Friday, July 21, 2023: 6:30Saturday, July 22, 2023: 6:00Sunday, July 23, 2023: 4:00Ticket Prices: $12 Regular / $10 Students & Seniors / $9 MembersRelated links:Digital Gym Cinema website | Instagram

Moondaddy is helmed by multi-instrumentalist Cara Potiker, and the upcoming album "Poet Lies" will come out Aug. 18 on the Volar Records label. Moondaddy's sound is indie, moody and dreamy, evoking Beach House or Cocteau Twins with a synthed-out shoegaze sonic depth.—Julia Dixon Evans, KPBSFrom the organizers:moondaddy record release show! Indie dream pop artist moondaddy first began in singer/songwriter Cara Potiker’s San Diego bedroom, dreamt up as a pressure valve for the existential dread of the 2020 lockdown. During that time Potiker began diving deep into analog audio, spending hours in her bedroom songwriting and making physical demo tapes. After pairing with Texas-based producer El Cosmophonico (real name Manuel Calderon), Potiker began transforming those demo tapes into expansive reverb-soaked odysseys with her forthcoming debut album, Poet Lies. Also performing are Jackie Mendoza, Omo Cloud and The Slashes. This is a 21+ event w/ valid ID.Related links:Moondaddy on InstagramSoda Bar on Instagram
