Tom Fudge: You may know that music has become a staple of John Waters' work. His movie Hairspray was made into a hit Broadway musical, directed by San Diego's Jack O'Brian. Now, Waters is in town to help the La Jolla Playhouse put his movie Cry-Baby on the stage. Cry-Baby is about life in 1950s Baltimore. It features characters who are Squares and the anti-squares, called the Drapes.
