Local journalist Tony Perry visits Iraq for the sixth time as an embedded journalist with local Camp Pendleton Marines. We get a weekly update from Tony about life in a war zone as he lives full-time

Embedded Reporter Talks Life in Iraq: Week 1

Tom Fudge: The Chargers beat the Indianapolis Colts yesterday in the NFL playoffs 28-24. Among those rooting for the team from couches in front of the television were quite a few local Marines stationed in Iraq. Tony Perry, of the L.A. Times , joined them to take in the game.

Tony is the San Diego bureau chief of the L.A. Times , and he's back in Iraq to cover the activities of Camp Pendleton Marines.
