Karbala's Shiite Clashes Spread to Other Towns

The violence in Karbala sparked clashes in several other Shiite towns in southern Iraq.

Shiite districts of Baghdad were largely deserted Wednesday, as residents hunkered down amid fears of further bloodshed.
