A 5-year-old Rolando boy drowned on Father's Day in a neighbor's swimming pool, police said.
The boy was found floating face down in the 4000 block of Loma Alta Drive Sunday evening, according to San Diego police and the county coroner's office.
He was declared dead at Sharp Grossmont Hospital at 7:50 p.m., the coroner's office reported.
The boy's name was unavailable today. An autopsy is pending.
