Day of Play has always been a FREE event about families learning, growing, and making healthy & nourishing decisions together. We will have a bushel of hands-on gardening and cooking activities from us and our local partner organizations to enjoy a jam-packed day of outdoor fun with the family! We are excited to share an engaging and inspiring day of outdoor activity with us!

Free Community Event with Alma of Alma's Way!
Prizes, lawn games, music, snacks, educational activities, and more.
Bringing families together to form educational connection around food, health, and the environment.

Free transportation provided to and from the event! Park or take public transportation to the National City Library (1401 National City Blvd, National City, CA 91950) and hop on an Old Town Trolley to Olivewood Gardens. The first trolley will depart the library for Olivewood at 9:45 a.m. Pick-up and drop-off will occur every 15 minutes. The last trolley will depart Olivewood for return to the library at 1:30 p.m.
