Are you a middle schooler interested in 3D design? In this class, learn how to create a custom 3D model using the web-based modeling platform, Tinkercad. Students will begin by designing a personalized keychain with their name, and will then design fun summer-themed shapes—just in time for the season! This project gives students a chance to explore the basic shape inventory and the scribble feature on Tinkercad. It also helps familiarize students with the Tinkercad interface, preparing them to tackle more advanced designs in future classes. We’ll cover a variety of ways to observe birds, including physical characteristics, behaviors, and their habitats. We’ll also share some of the best birding apps to help you identify birds wherever you go. After a one-hour presentation, you’ll get to try out your new skills by birding at some of Volcan Mountain Foundation’s most beautiful trails.
