  • Fine art photographers and artists Dan Burkholder and Jill Skupin Burkholder will show their work, present an artists’ talk and conduct workshops at Photographer’s Eye, 326 Grand Ave., Escondido, California, 92025, in September. Dan Burkholder is a renowned fine art photographer who quickly embraced digital photography as an art form. He is the creator of the digital negative, which uses photographic negatives made from digital images to create photographic prints. His book, "Making Digital Negatives for Contact Printing," remains the standard reference for this process today. He is also the author of iPhone Artistry, a wonderful guide for anyone who shoots with a smart phone. Jill Skupin Burkholder is an expert in creative photography with cold wax, a process that uses beeswax and resin to coat images, which gives them texture and depth. Her work has been shown in venues across the country. Photographer’s Eye is a non-profit collective and will host a show, “Twosome: Dan Burkholder and Jill Skupin Burkholder,” from Sept. 9 to Oct. 7.
