Bach Collegium San Diego (BCSD), one of the country’s leading ensembles, is performing at the BachFest 2024 in June in Leipzig, Germany. Receiving a coveted invitation to BachFest is a very prestigious honor, and Bach Collegium San Diego is only one of five American choirs who were invited. For those unable to attend the summer concert in Europe, BCSD is performing a preview of the concert they will be performing for San Diego audiences. In his second year as Thomaskantor, J.S. California public schools will expand alcohol education in 2025 thanks to a new law. The law’s author, Wendy Carrillo, wrote the legislation following her DUI arrest, saying she didn’t want students to make the same mistakes she did.
