This trio offers a variety of courses and scenery throughout San Diego, providing athletes with a fun and unique running experience in distinct parts of the city and county. Athletes who participate in each race in the same calendar year, no matter the distance they participate in, will be awarded a San Diego Foundation SoCal Triple Crown medal to celebrate their accomplishment of completing the race series. Runners simply register for all three events separately, no additional registration or fee is required to qualify for the San Diego Foundation SoCal Triple Crown finisher award. We offer a 10% military discount to active duty service members. Make sure to answer the questions about military service during registration to receive the discount instructions. Benefiting the Community Since its inception in 1978, The America's Finest City Half Marathon has helped raise important funds for national and local non-profit organizations. The event's primary beneficiaries are the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation and Friends of Balboa Park. The AFC Half Marathon also provides the opportunity for other local charities to raise funds through their association with the event. Course Restrictions Strollers are not allowed in the half marathon, due to a steep downhill on the half marathon course. Strollers are allowed in the 5K but must line up at the back of the pack at the start line. Dogs are not allowed to participate in the race - we ask that you leave your four-legged friends at home. Awards Awards will be available for pick-up on race day. Post-Race Celebration Both the half marathon and 5K finish at Balboa Park, where finishers can relax, celebrate and reunite with loved ones. Iconic bands The Offspring and Pennywise will headline the powerful lineup, which also includes Streetlight Manifesto, Face To Face, Manic Hispanic, Buck-O-Nine, Slaughterhouse, Winterhaven, and more. Punk In The Park is produced by Brew Ha Ha Productions (BHHP), renowned for their diverse, award-winning beer-centric events and music festivals across the United States. The Offspring, formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California, have sold over 40 million records worldwide and are considered one of the most successful punk rock bands of all time. Their high-energy performances and enduring hits like “Come Out and Play” and “Self Esteem” have made them a favorite among punk fans for decades. Pennywise, a South Bay, California punk band formed in 1988, is known for their energetic live shows and anthemic songs such as “Bro Hymn.” They have remained a staple in the punk scene, representing a sound that has influenced countless bands over the years. Punk In The Park will offer up to three hours of craft beer tasting (12 p.m. - 3 p.m. for attendees aged 21 and over, showcasing an impressive selection of craft beers, including some of the region’s best. Food will also be available for purchase from local food trucks and vendors, with vegan options included. Event producer Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions said, “We are thrilled to bring Punk In The Park to San Diego.
