What impact would a proposed aggregate quarry have on the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve? Well talk about the proposed operation and the effect on a neighboring nature preserve.

Tom Fudge: In one corner are environmentalists and some residents of Southern Riverside County. In the other are a quarry operator and the building industry of San Diego, which is hungry for materials. They’re fighting over the proposed Liberty Quarry, which would produce sand, gravel and rock. We’ll hear from both sides in the debate over the quarry, which would be right next door to the Santa Margarita nature preserve.
