DeMaio, Fletcher Ahead In Mayoral Campaign Fundraising

Councilman Carl DeMaio and Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, R-San Diego, raised the most money among San Diego mayoral candidates who filed campaign finance reports today.

According to forms filed with the city clerk's office, DeMaio raised $976,000 in 2011, with $431,000 of that sum in the second six months of the year. Of the grand total, DeMaio contributed nearly $406,000 of his own money.

He listed almost $815,000 in hand and $63,000 in unpaid bills.

Fletcher raised $425,000 in the final six months of 2011 for a total of $775,000. He did not use any of his own money during that time period.

He listed $553,000 cash in hand and debts of almost $21,000.

Rep. Bob Filner, D-San Diego, reported that he raised $111,000 between July and the end of the year, for a grand fundraising total of $213,000.

Filner, the only major Democrat in the race, reported having $41,000 cash in hand, and almost $16,000 in unpaid bills.

District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis had not filed as of 5:30 p.m.

Today was the last day to file.

Filner, I support you but you need to get your damn act together, sir.

San Diego is a majority Democratic city and you are lagging behind two inept crackpots!?

Does Peking Duck need to come down there and slap you silly so you start getting on the ball? **

But you don't seem to be taking this seriously.

Our city is at a crucial turning point, and Fletcher, Dumanis, and DeMaio are all hideous dangers to our community. You need to get out there, pound the pavement, and act like you want this one boy.

Because if you lose, San Diego will see a pretty dim future.

Especially with "Papa" Slime molesting our media after purchasing the UT.

Yes, the Ut was not exactly a shining beacon of journalistic integrity before "Papa" slithered in like an unctuous octopus and began using the front page for his editorials, but it has sunk to a new low now.

DeMaio, Flethcer, and Dumanis will pander to folks like "Papa" Pompous, just like past Republicans, giving this tool a back-door tentacle he can slither into city hall.

One tentacle molesting the development community, another raping our major media outlet, and yet another probing into our city government. "Papa" Puke wants his finger on every button of influence in this town and that should scare the bejesus out of citizens!

Mr. Filner. BOB. We are counting on *YOU* not to let this happen.

Please, PLEASE, **PLEASE** don't let us down.
