'DOUBLE EXPOSURE': A Solo Artist Exhibition by Cathy Cooper Scott
In her current series DOUBLE EXPOSURE, Cathy Cooper Scott explores the feeling of color and texture. These pieces are executed on glass with chunky strokes of oil and spray paint - with freedom to explore beyond the boundary of the frame.
The DOUBLE EXPOSURE series broadly reflects aspects of a landscape aesthetic —real and imagined. Surrounded daily, living in Southern California, with stunningly vibrant, whimsical and breathtaking natural beauty, from the Pacific Ocean beaches to the high desert mountains, Cathy is inspired and motivated to capture her experience of nature. Likewise her subject and material choices reflect concern for climate change and sustainability.
Date | January 8 through January 28. Opening reception takes place Saturday, January 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Artist reception takes place Saturday, January 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
