Last November, San Diego voters squashed the idea of moving San Diego's international airport to land now occupied by MCAS Miramar. This, despite a huge and expensive campaign by the San Diego regional airport authority. The agency's failure to find a new site for an expanded airport convinced one state lawmaker that changes are needed. She's introduced legislation to overhaul the airport authority.
