So, this week a failed attempt to impeach President George Bush made the news, albeit the news is being hidden by the main news media. Apparently, the fact that 166 representatives think that the president LIED to us isn't enough.
Let's examine this closer... 166 people that we, the American People, voted for think we were misled into the Iraq War. That our president knew there were no bombs or weapons in Iraq, but let us go to war anyway. That Saddam Hussein had NO connection to Al Qaeda, but framed him anyway. That, to put it bluntly, he failed in his job in leading America's government.

Thank YOU Steven for writing about Kucinich's courageous leadership this week. It was remarkable he led the charge to impeach Cheney to begin with. That he wasn't dissuaded by that failed attempt, but instead chose to move forward to "fry bigger fish" is even more impressive.

Gee, ya ..... my Congressman is Duncan Hunter Sr. ..... not a likely supporter of an impeachment of Bush.
That is the real difference between Nixon and Bush. In 73 the Republicans could read the writing on the wall about Watergate and called Nixon to account. They lost the next election but bounced back.
Fast foreword to 2008 and the Republicans appear deaf to the outrage over being lied to over the war. Party loyalty seems to be trumping loyalty to the Country and Constitution and resulted in no oversight.
The public will make a lot of choices this November. The rule of law will be one. A vote for any Republican candidate this November will be an approval of official lawlessness by the Bush Administration.

I don't vote, however I can fully undertand the feeling of the people every time that Mr. Bush appear on TV, saying that he is right and the rest of the world is wrong.
In my country, there is a thought that says: lie, lie, because something will remember. Maybe the translation is not the best, but the meaning is something like Mr. Bush very well. Let's lie, and people will believe on us. then go on lying and they will go on believing on us.
But as you know, you have now the option of changing your future in something more interesting and more real.
